Privacy Policy

Last updated July 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Gleance (“we”, “us”) collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It applies to the Gleance website and service.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: your name and email address when you create an account. We use passwordless sign-in (an emailed link or your Google account), so we never collect or store a password.
  • Project data: the business, competitors, city or niche, and prompts you ask us to track.
  • Billing data: subscription plan and payment details, which are processed by our payment provider, not stored by us.
  • Usage data: how you interact with the Service, plus standard technical data such as browser type and IP address.

2. How we use your data

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Service.
  • To run visibility tracking against AI search engines for the projects you set up.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription.
  • To send you service messages, reports, and, if you opt in, product updates.
  • To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.

3. Legal bases

Where the GDPR applies, we process your data to perform our contract with you, to meet legal obligations, with your consent where required (for example marketing email), and for our legitimate interests in running and improving the Service.

4. Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run Gleance, such as hosting, analytics, email, and payment processing, and only as needed for them to perform those services. We may also disclose data where required by law.

To run tracking, we send the prompts you configure to third-party AI search engines. We do not send them your account or billing details.

5. Data retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, unless we are required to keep it for legal or accounting reasons.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights from your account settings or by emailing us. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in each message.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data safe and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

8. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with applicable law.

9. Children

Gleance is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by a reasonable means. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
